Along the wild Lost Coast of California, a rough stretch of sand runs for over 3 miles between the foaming ocean and wild countryside. The place is known as Black Sands Beach - the only beach with black sand in continental USA and with its wild beauty the inspiration for the WestCoastDiver (WCD). 

With a grainy texturised dial resembling black sand, this new series captures the colours of this rough, untouched coastline. With its robust stainless steel case and clear california dial design, the WCD is perfectly suited to explore the Lost Coast. Inside an automatic Japanese movement purely powered by kinetic energy is driving polished rock grey hands filled to the brim with lume for low light situations. The WCD is delivered on a waxxed Italian leather strap with a second fully water resistant FKM strap. 

Our watches are shipped tracked and insured via RoyalMail in the UK to ensure you receive your package fast and safely.

We offer free shipments for all our watches in the UK and to Europe. All other locations will require a shipping fee.

Please note that shipments outside of the UK will be net of VAT (price is automatically reduced in the check-out). However, you will be charged VAT and potential import duties depending on your region which will be collected by the shipping company.

We are certain you will love our watches! However, if they are just not what you had imagined we offer a 30-day return window.

The watch needs to be in its original condition with no signs of wear. If the watch has been removed from the package and shows sign of wear, we reserve the right to charge you an applicable fee or to refuse the return.

Please note that we can't return any shipping costs or (for our international customers only) any import duty or VAT you paid on receipt of your package.

The Beach dial

With a grainy texture this California Dial captures all the colours of a day out on a Black Sand Beach. With extra strong lume and the "error-proof" design combining Arabic and Roman numerals, a highly visible and easy to read dial.

The SunSet version captures the final moments of a day outside when the last sunrays turn the entire sky into a burning orange!

Powered by Japanese Precision

The core of your new watch is a modern and reliable automatic movement made in Japan: The NH-38A is produced by TMI, a subsidiary of Seiko.

The 12 lignes wide movement swings with up to 21,600 bph and up to 41 hours after you take the watch off your wrist. With 24 jewels and Seiko Magic Lever unidirectional winding, the NH-38A is a reliable calibre well known across the world for its use by micro brands and watchmakers.

Save on the beach and under the waves

The black coated case of the WCD is constructed to withstand pressure and damages more easily than other watches. With a slightly doomed ultra-scratch resistant sapphire crystal, solid steel case back and thick case walls the watch mechanism is well protected within. If assembled correctly (or if ordered as assembled watch) the case is water resistant to 100m diving depth (measured at 10 ATM pressure). The flank of this case is a combination of polished and brushed surfaces with each different layer contrasting with the previous one, splitting the case side into fractions.

Waterresistant, comfortable and Sturdy

The WCD is delivered with both, a waxxed vintage leather strap and a fully water resistant FKM strap, both equipped with a quick release spring bar system, to easily switch them without needing any tools.

FKM, which stands for Fluoroelastomer, exhibits outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including sweat, water and dirt and maintains its elasticity and shape even after prolonged compression, contributing to its longevity and performance under harsh and wet conditions.

The Italian leather strap is a thick, but soft strap made of waxed calf leather from Italy and manufactured in Spain. Please note that while the leather is waxed, we do not recommend to submerge a leather strap, especially not in seawater.
